I am trying to share the way I feel about everything that is happening in a way that will be constructive, but right now I just want to scream.

FACE OUR FEARS: Budget Bill Passes, Stripping Millions of Healthcare

In a nation with no universal healthcare, no universal childcare or paid leave program, it is astounding to me that the Republicans felt that in order to secure Jeff Bezos and the other one percenters more tax breaks they don’t need, they would sell out the American people because they don’t and never have cared about us.

In fact, they care so little for us and our lives and our livelihoods that multiple independent outlets are reporting that Republican holdouts on Trump’s bill were SWAYED TO VOTE YES after Trump gave them some signed merch.

Let that sink in.

Trump told one Republican that he could GO TO THE PRO SHOP AND PICK OUT A SHIRT.

America — this government does not work for us. It is time to organize not just a national strike, but we also need to think about withholding our tax dollars en masse to protest funding this budget.

They want a caste system where only the privileged few can access whatever is left of the social services and the rest live in absolute poverty, begging for crumbs at the table.

REALITY CHECK: Trump’s Bill Makes ICE Budget Larger Than That Of Most World Militaries

The Senate-approved bill carves out around $150 BILLION in ICE funding, which will expand detention facilities and enforcement between now and 2029. That’s almost $37.5 BILLION a year, which is higher than the military expenditure of all but fifteen nations.

And don’t think for a moment that ICE is only fixating on undocumented people — who by the way have a lower crime rate than natural-born US citizens.

Laura Loomer just posted this on X in reference to Alligator Alcatraz, the detention facility that Gov. DeSantis (R-FL) built in a literal week surrounded by alligators and pythons because, well, priorities:

She wrote: Alligator lives matter. The good news is, alligators are guaranteed at least 65 million meals if we get started now.”

In 2023, there were approximately 65.2 million Hispanics/Latinos in the United States, making up over 19% of the total population, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. This makes them the largest racial or ethnic minority group in the country.

She’s talking about all of the Latino community.

They are not hiding what the plans are and now they have the funding to do it.

We need to decide what we do now.
