Impeach Trump? Jasmine Crockett Says She’s Open To It

Facts Over Fear: It's time to bring articles of impeachment against Trump. It's just the right thing to do. This and more...

The news cycle moves fast these days and to try and cover more topics, I’ve been doing more lives to keep you up to date on the news to know and useful commentary and analysis of complex issues.

Desmond Price of

and I have been regularly connecting to share our perspectives and to provide useful information so that you don’t have to go searching for it.

In yesterday’s LIVE, we covered:

Jasmine Crockett says she’ll seek Trump impeachment inquiry if she wins Oversight spot

  • Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett has vowed to initiate an impeachment investigation into President Donald Trump if she is elected to lead the House Oversight Committee. Crockett is vying for the committee’s ranking member position in a June 24 election and would chair if Democrats retake the House in the 2026 midterms.

    • Love this for her, love this for all of us and we need more Democrats standing up and saying the quiet part out loud. Trump and his regime have got to go.

Greta Thunberg Speaks from Aid Ship Heading to Gaza Despite Israeli Threats: It’s My Moral Obligation

  • From Democracy Now: As Gaza faces over three months of Israeli blockade, a group of 12 activists is sailing to Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid. The Madleen ship was launched by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition and initially planned to sail from Malta last month, but the group’s ship was damaged in a drone attack. The new mission includes the renowned Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, who speaks with Democracy Now! live from the Madleen. “We deem the risk of silence and the risk of inaction to be so much more deadly than this mission,” says Thunberg.

    • Desmond and I both remarked on the bravery and also the desperation that it takes to decide to get on a boat — after one had been bombed — to try and deliver aid to starving people because our governments are failing to meet the moment. We wish for her safety. Also, Lindsay Graham…are you okay?

What we know about the Colorado attack on demonstrators for the release of Israeli hostages

  • We strongly and unequivocally denounce the violence that took place over the weekend as a man was charged with injuring more than a dozen people in Boulder, Colorado, as they were demonstrating for the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza. He went disguised as a gardener and told police his initial plan was to kill them all.

    • This is not the way towards peace, this does not help the Palestinian people and this does nothing to build bridges between religious groups here in the United States. We MUST demand accountability from governments while also recognizing that civilians should NEVER be targeted because of their governments actions. Conflating personal religious beliefs with that of state-sanctioned violence is problematic, dangerous and needs to be addressed.

US Supreme Court won't review assault weapon, high-capacity magazine bans

  • The U.S. Supreme Court declined on Monday to hear a challenge to the legality of state restrictions on assault-style rifles and large-capacity ammunition magazines, passing up for now cases that offered the justices a chance to further expand gun rights. The justices turned away two appeals after lower courts upheld a ban in Maryland on powerful semiautomatic rifles such as AR-15s and one in Rhode Island restricting the possession of ammunition-feeding devices holding more than 10 rounds. The lower courts rejected arguments that the measures violate the U.S. Constitution's Second Amendment right to "keep and bear arms."

    • What surprised us was that they declined to hear this for now. But it still pumped the breaks a bit. This SCOTUS is all over the place and it is hard to predict how they will vote on any issue on any given day. But things aren’t a slam dunk with Trump’s appointed court, which does give me some hope (a tiny bit).
