FACE OUR FEARS: While the world is grappling with the asinine tariffs the Trump regime has put in place, Trump decided to head back to Miami.
This is his ninth weekend in Florida since taking office in January – to play in a GOLF TOURNAMENT.
That’s right. Reuters reported that while the S&P 500 companies lost a combined $2.4 trillion in stock market value in Thursday's selloff on Wall Street, their biggest one-day loss in value since the emerging coronavirus pandemic sent global markets into a tailspin on March 16, 2020, Trump decided to attend a dinner on Thursday marking the start of the LIV Golf tournament which is backed by Saudi Arabia and embroiled in a years long feud with the U.S.-based PGA Tour.
The S&P 500 ended down almost 5% after U.S. President Donald Trump ignited fears of an all-out trade war and a global economic recession.
And to pour more salt into the gaping wound that is our nation, he also has been accused of skipping the dignified transfer of four American soldiers who died during a training exercise in Lithuania, according to Newsweek.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will represent Trump, instead. Comforting.
So to recap:
Trump was supposed to meet the families of 4 fallen US soldiers as their coffins return from Lithuania where they were killed in an accident. He canceled in order to wine and dine Saudi golf executives and sponsors for a golf tournament at one of his resorts.
He really is taking that whole “suckers and losers” to a next level. Operating as a true oligarch, despot – whatever you want to call him at this point – living a lavish lifestyle free from the hassles of reality – the harsh reality he and his regime has created for the rest of us.
REALITY CHECK: Say goodbye to coffee – sugar – rice – iPhones – apple watches – toys from Mattel – electronics – cars – the list goes on and on in terms of what is affected by these foolish tariffs.
